The 17th Annual Pagosa Springs Area Car Show wrapped up Saturday, leaving behind the rumble of engines, the love of community, and memories that will carry Pagosa through to next year's event. We had 117 autos at Yamaguchi Park competing this year.
First, I want to mention a special thanks to "Steiney" for all his hard work. Without him there wouldn't be an event. His knowledge and know-how was a huge help. If you see him please give him a pat on the back!
This year we added a co****le tournament which brought several teams to the competition. The winners were:
1st place Al & Janelle Bryant
2nd Place Evie & Rex Bryant
3rd Place Toby Young and Gene Flaherty

Thank you to the Brooks i Band for keeping it festive Friday and DJ "JP" kept the energy going throughout Saturday.
Everyone's favorite Pin-Up Girl Contest was Friday night and Danae Canela was crowned Queen for 2026. Known as "Dixie 6-Shooter", Danae represented all day Saturday, taking photos and working the crowd.
None of it would have been possible without the generosity of the event's sponsors. Their financial support and commitment to community programming allowed the Chamber to offer free admission, bring in quality entertainment, and create the kind of experience that keeps people coming back year after year. Our title sponsors this year were Les Schwab Tire Center and Precision Autobody and Collision.
Equally deserving of recognition are the volunteers who gave their time and energy to keep the event running smoothly. A heartfelt thank-you goes to Arlene and Don Jones, Elsa White, Jessie Burk, John Steinert, Jules Johnson, Kelly Spence, Brandon Carlisle, Ken Rogers, Monte McAllister, Robin Williams, Shayla McClure, Mallory McKinney, Mark Douthey, Sierra Montoya, and Theresa Suchanek. Their dedication behind the scenes was the backbone of this event.
We look forward to seeing everyone again next year at the 18th Annual Pagosa Springs Car Show, June 11-12, 2027 at Yamaguchi Park!
