It's International Women's Day, and what better way to celebrate than a bike ride and bakery stop.

Today we celebrate the women that paved the way for us: in politics, on the social front, in education, and sports. We are also reminded that there is still work to do as we make our communities better places for our daughters, nieces, and neighbors.

A recent survey shows that girls drop out of sports at twice the rate of boys by age 14. The top three reasons? fun, love of sport, and confidence. This breaks our Beaver hearts.

How can we show our daughters, nieces, and youth riders that biking is a sport that builds community, grit, and self-assurance? How do we model bringing women and girls together in a sport that promotes perseverance and problem solving in a natural setting?

Big Beaver Bikes believes She has to See It to Achieve It. In 2026, let's be the role models these girls need. Set your goals, include other Beavers, join the Colony. Not only are we stronger together, but we are building better communities for future Beavers!
