A little building clearing training with the Police Explorers tonight. Want to say a big thanks to Matt Smith for coming out and helping be the bad guy and seeing what these young explorers are learning. Topics covered tonight were: weapon safety, team work, handcuffing and searching and officer safety tactics while clearing structures. These guys rocked it and did an amazing job working together! Big shout out to Pageland Fire Department for allowing us to use their training building!

Explorer Meeting:

June 12th, 2018 at 5:30pm at the Pageland Police Department. Wear Explorer t-shirt, black bdu pants, black boots, and a black belt.

Anyone interested in joining the Explorer Post? Must be 14-21 years old with completion of the 8th grade, must maintain a C average, no criminal record, no prior suspensions or in trouble at school. Background checks will be conducted.

Tonight was the first meeting for Pageland Police Explorer Post 1513. It was a great meeting and a lot of information about the explorer post and the requirements to join. The Explorer Program is off to a great start!
