We had our last day of play-based, outdoor farm-based co-op today. We had such an engaging time that I forgot to take pictures 🥴. But this is where we "school"

There were so many beautiful takeaways from this 4-week series that we did. It simply furthered our belief that we need to continue to live in flow, respect the land, change our language about how education is framed and include all aspects of life in unschooling our children or Life-schooing is more like it.

Love your passion whatever that many be, there are plenty of lessons to be learned in that, even as an adult.

Raven Circle Co-op had a day of wonder yesterday! It is always great fun!
Emillie and I had our phones out to utilize Google lens as we identified multiple caterpillars, spiders and some plants. We had free creek play and then made our way back to the porch for some exciting reading. Shout out to Dr. Shana Wrighten for this marvelous book, "From axon to Zebrafish, the ABCs of Neuroscience" It sparked much curiosity!

Next week we wrap up our July series and have more families joining us! Yay!

Next week, water play and nature listening!!

We had the pleasure of hosting our outdoor play-based homeschool/unschool co-op today at Raven micro Farm. We are calling it Raven Circle co-op. The circle is an infinite loop, much like learning and play, you should never stop learning and you should never stop playing.

Connecting with nature and outdoor play helps children create boundaries on their own and approach life with a lens not based in fear, but in confidence.

It is currently a 2-hour co-op and we are eager to see what it has the potential to evolve into. We had some really fun introductions, We talked about venomous snakes, the kids enjoyed some free play and then we walked to the farm. Talked about animals and made our way to the creek. This secular playgroup is a really great way for us to connect with other nature-based families in our community. We look forward to more fun play next week.

We are excited to host the first Raven Circle co-op on July 5th! Here are the details:

Wednesdays in July on the 5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th
Co-op runs from 10am to 12pm
Each Class is $20

You will be emailed a waiver once registration is completed. Once the class is full I will advise of such.

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay...

I would like to host an outdoor education/play-based group for 4 weeks on Wednesdays in July on the 5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th.
Based on the flow, the class would be from 10-1pm or 2 pm.

The facilitators for these classes would be me, Rachel, and my dear friend Claire.

My husband and I own Raven Micro Farm. I have been a clinical Massage Therapist for 12 years. I am pediatric certified, Prenatal, Postnatal, and Thai.
(I am Anatomy & Physiology nerd and I love Biology!!!)
I have an AS degree in Graphic design and Multimedia, and BS in Ayurvedic Nutrition and wellness. My senior project for my BS was a study of the effects of outdoor play on children and the design of an outdoor playspace here on the farm. I am a lifelong learner and an avid Unschool/homeschool mom. I feel that it is imperative for children's Health and well-being to connect with nature and have structured and unstructured play outside as much as possible.

Claire is a gentle Mama of three, having a love for animals and nature. She is a former Waldorf-inspired co-op creator and is currently a facilitator in a self-directed learning community. She also has certifications in animal care and education.

We are confident that we can inspire creative learning outdoors!!!

The class Co-op would cost $20 per family with a maximum of 12-15 children per class.

I ask that you PM me with interest, that way we can put together a lesson plan for the four weeks.
The ideas that we have so far are:
