Book for Hope will have an interactive childhood cancer walk on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Noble Park in Paducah, KY. You can walk onsite at Noble Park or be a virtual walker anywhere in the United States, and we will ship your t-shirt.
You are encouraged to be a
“Hope Advocate” by raising $100.00. If you register and raise $100.00, we will place your name on our website.
Please register at www.bookforhope.org and click on events. You will see the 11th Annual Just Imagine®️Childhood Cancer Walk. Click on the walk and register. Scroll down and you will see donation. Zeffy does not charge fees! YAY!

Today is the last day of May, Brain Tumor Awareness Month. I will never forget the children who have flown high to Jesus because of Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). This beast primarily attacks elementary-age children and is a fatal brain tumor.

I will never forget watching a black-and-white television screen in 1969 as Neil Armstrong took the first step on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission. Also, his daughter, Karen Anne, had DIPG and died in 1962. She was two years old.

DIPG is not a new brain tumor. There is much more awareness of Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. Unfortunately, there are no new treatments for DIPG. Children don’t have time to wait for us to help.

Most people only pay attention when something affects them or their family.
Please remember this could be your child, grandchild, or sibling.

Book for Hope is so grateful to Arkema at Calvert City, Kentucky for once again being a sponsor for our childhood cancer walk.

This will be our 11th Annual Just Imagine®️Childhood Cancer Walk at Noble Park on Saturday, September 5, 2026! Please join us for a time of solidarity in walking for children who are survivors and in memory of those who have flown high. You can create your own team of 25 to get your team name on the back of the shirt. You can use the link in the profile to join us as a walker onsite or virtually. If you are a virtual walker, we will ship your t-shirt anywhere in the United States. Also, you can be a sponsor of the walk. Once you click events you will see two options. If you want to start a team or join one, click registration and follow and you will be asked if you want to join or create a team. We are using one of our best friends, Zeffy who does not charge fees.

Axtyn received his new glasses. Mom says she is having trouble keeping them on him. He looks older with his glasses. Please remember to pray for Axtyn and Mom.

Update on Piper from mom:

The surgery went well with no complications. They were able to remove the mass, instead of just biopsy which is amazing news! We will not know the pathology results for 3 days and Piper is now headed to ICU. She is already off of the vent so our little fighter is working hard. Thank you for the prayers and love we feel it and know God is right here with us in this valley.

This morning, Piper will have brain surgery. She is ten years old and a Western Kentucky girl. Her mother has asked for people to pray for Piper as if she were your baby . So, today, we are asking you to please stop and pray for Piper. Also, please pray for the medical team and her mom. Just think, this could be your child.

We are so excited to announce that Atmos Energy will be a sponsor for the 11th Annual Just Imagine®️Childhood Cancer Walk. Eleven years ago, Atmos Energy got behind Book for Hope, and they have always supported our childhood cancer walk. Bobby Brown, now retired from Atmos Energy, got the funding and volunteering started, and the tradition has carried on. We are so thankful to have the incredible support from Atmos Energy.
