We’re still processing her loss and will have more to say about her amazing legacy in a future post.

We stand with SPLC.

Civil rights organizations such as the JACL and the SPLC play a critical role in holding the government accountable and ensuring that Americans can enjoy the rights and protections enshrined in our nation’s Constitution.

This indictment will not silence the civil rights movement, and all we have fought to gain.

On February 22nd, we were honored to partner with the San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center for the SFV Day of Remembrance. The event featured a powerful presentation by .kwong of the , highlighting the resilience and spirit of those incarcerated during WWII.

Attendees from across the valley and beyond joined us to explore the profound ways the forced removal and unjust imprisonment of Japanese Americans transformed the Valley community. Through shared stories and exhibits, we examined the lives disrupted when thousands were sent to detention centers and incarceration camps across the American West.

Thank you to everyone who came out to reflect, learn, and ensure these stories are never forgotten.
