>> COMMISSIONERS TO HONOR FLOOD PARTNERS

When flooding struck the Packwood area in December 2025, individuals from across agencies, organizations and neighborhoods came together quickly and selflessly. The response demonstrated the strength of our local partnerships and the deep sense of responsibility people here have for one another.

The Lewis County Board of County Commissioners will hold a brief recognition during Monday's Packwood Improvement Club meeting to express appreciation for those who helped safeguard lives, ensure public safety and support recovery efforts throughout the flood. This moment allows the County to publicly recognize the coordination, leadership and commitment that made a meaningful impact.
