Why 🩷 I came to H2H after my owner turned me and my two brothers over to the pound to rehome or exterminate.  

A little about me 🩷
I’m 6.5 months old and 28 lbs.
I am a heeler (aka cattle dog) mix
I’m very loyal to my people!
I am good with dogs but I like to be the boss. Best suited to be in a home with a male dog. Age doesn’t matter because I can read the room
Willing to sleep with the lights off or on at bedtime
Tv is your choice
I like to eat so be prepared to feed me meals and I’ll eat it all right away
I’m submissive when I meet people but my inner energy comes out as I get to know you. I’m respectful. You won’t find me jumping all over you in any kind of rough way or even overly exuberant so don’t take offense. I’m a pretty stable dog and smart as a whip.

I’ll hike, leash walk, snuggle, run, play, and nap.

🩷I like my crate. I take solid naps when I’m in it. No barking from me over being kenneled.

🐾 Meet Hugo 🐾
Small body, big feelings, and a heart that’s learning how to trust.

Hugo is a 2-year old, 8 pound red short-haired Chihuahua. Hugo is the kind of little dog who doesn’t rush into life, he tiptoes into it. He’s very shy and still learning that people can be safe and kind, but you can already see how much he wants to connect. He’ll quietly follow you into a room just to be near you… then choose the farthest spot to sit and observe. It’s his way of saying, “I’m trying.”

Interestingly, Hugo hasn’t barked at all since coming into foster, showing just how gentle and quiet nature he is.
With patience, consistency, and a gentle approach, Hugo is slowly opening up. Treats are definitely helping win him over, and he’s starting to associate people with good things. Every small step he takes feels like a big victory.

❤️ What Hugo Needs
Hugo will thrive in a calm, patient home where his adopter understands that trust takes time. He needs someone who will let him come out of his shell at his own pace—no pressure, just quiet encouragement and kindness. A predictable routine and a low-traffic environment will help him feel secure.

🐾 Meet Darcy

Age: 2.5 years | Breed: Great Pyrenees | Personality: Pure love in a fluffy white package

Darcy is the kind of dog who makes you wonder how anyone could ever let her go. This sweet, beautiful 2½-year-old Great Pyrenees arrived at her foster home and immediately set about her one true mission in life: giving love and receiving it right back. Honestly, she’s pretty great at both.

Home life? She’s got it figured out. Darcy knows her house manners and settled into her foster home like she’d lived there for years. She started out crated at night, lodged a few polite complaints (as any self-respecting Pyr would), and then decided sleep was actually a great idea. It didn’t take long before she earned full free-roaming privileges — because that’s just the kind of trustworthy girl she is.

Other animals? Darcy adores other dogs and loves nothing more than a good romp with her foster sibling, a fellow Great Pyrenees. She has also made it her personal project to win over the resident chihuahua. The chihuahua has, thus far, declined all friend requests. Darcy remains optimistic.

Kids? Oh, she is absolutely HERE for the children. Five grandchildren — babies, toddlers, the whole wonderful chaos of it — came over, and Darcy was in her glory. Gentle, sweet, and completely smitten.

Brains? She has them! Darcy is smart and highly trainable. She comes when called, picks things up quickly, and is eager to please the people she loves.

Food? Listen, it’s possible Darcy spent some time fending for herself before landing somewhere safe, so mealtime is a very big deal. Feeding time in her foster home is basically a celebration. You will never, ever forget to feed this dog.

The yard situation: Darcy’s foster home has a 4-foot fence, and she has been a perfect lady about it — no jumping, no testing the boundaries. That said, she is a Great Pyrenees, and if a squirrel of particularly questionable character showed up on the other side, well… a tall, secure fence is strongly recommended. Better safe than sorry with this fluffy adventurer.

Darcy is ready to find her forever family — a loving home where she can be the cherished companion she was born to be. If you have a fenced yard, room on the couch, and a heart ready to be thoroughly claimed by a giant white fluffball, Darcy would like a word with you. 🤍

Carlita 🥳

Introducing the tiny but oh so mighty-Carlita! 💕 She is a 3 month old Lab mix with the most beautiful light brown coat! 🐶This little girl likes to steal hearts! 😍🥰 She is the sweetest pup with a lot of s***k! 🐶😉She does well with her current foster sisters and she does well with kids! ❤️She is very much an energetic puppy and LOVES to play! She is still learning all about potty training and crate training! She will be the sweetest buddy for anyone, preferably as the only pup or with another dog who can handle all her s***k!!!! 💕💕

IMMEDIATE FOSTER NEEDED!!!

This boy was adopted as a young dog (year old) and is now being returned due to no fault of his own. A baby is on the way and the owner feels he would do best in another situation. No judgment needed. It doesn’t help him. We’ve been told he needs to leave by tomorrow. Please share. This is urgent.

Hi! I'm Orion 🥰 I’m approximately 3 years old, Great Pyrenees / Husky mix that weighs 60 pounds. I’m low energy, don’t require too much exercise and just content with hanging out with my people on the couch and small walks.

✅ Crate Trained (for when no one is home)
✅ Potty Trained
✅ Leashed Trained (doesn’t pull)
✅ Socialize with other dogs and children of all ages (not sure about cats)
✅ Must be in household with other dog(s) or someone who works / stays home, as he has some separation anxiety and doesn’t love being lonely. He does fine in a crate if other dogs are nearby.
✅ Loves to go on car rides and stick his nose out the window for some fresh air.
✅ Loves to just sit and be pet, very low maintenance

Holy cow….. foster found with hope to adopt 🙏❤️ stay tuned!

Thankfully dogs don’t give up.

We are trying to be strong for Moe, but he’s had multiple meetings now and no one feels a strong “yes”. Why? Is it because he’s blind? People know this going in to meet him. That can’t be it. Is it because he’s so mellow? Figures it would be a winning trait for most dogs but Moe is just not being chosen. It’s killing us because he’s just such a good dog. In fact, his current fosters have fostered so many dogs and voluntarily said he’s quite possibly the best one they’ve ever had.

These hopes of ours keep getting high and we just need some extra help finding this guy a home. Moe’a current foster family leaves town tomorrow and that means he needs to find a new foster offer today. We’ve asked. We’ve hoped, and now we are begging.

Hi! My name is Moe, and I'm a 4-5 year terrier mix looking for my forever family.

One thing you should know about me is that I'm blind. It's not a big deal to me. I navigate the world with my nose, my ears, and a little bit of confidence. I love wandering around the yard, sniffing all the interesting smells. Sometimes I disappear under bushes or hide in flower beds while I'm exploring so you might have to help me find my way back inside.

I like my crate and settle in quietly without barking. I've kept my crate clean too with no accidents here!

When I first arrived, I even enjoyed my bath.
My very favorite thing is being close to you. Once I've finished my yard patrol, I'm ready to cuddle. I may not be able to see you, but I sure do love being near you.

I'm a simple boy, looking for a soft bed, a safe home and a patient family who understands that I experience the world a little differently. In return, I'll give you my loyalty, my cuddles, and my whole heart.

👋🏼 my name is Jess! I’m an adorable toy Cavapoo at only 9 lbs. I came from a breeder and I’m loving this chill life so far. My absolute favorite thing is cuddling, whether that’s on the couch or you carrying me. My foster fam has a toddler and some really big looking dogs! I do grumble when the biggest one is excited and try’s to come near, but can you blame me? She’s 6x my size! Otherwise they’re alright to hang with.

Two more dogs arrive today from the same heartstick facility we recently took several others from. The Yorkie is a female and has a foster offer (thank you so much) but the bearded collie mix boy doesn’t. His name is Grinch and he’s 2.5 years old.

Dying in life isn’t a choice but choosing to kill innocent dogs via a heartstick method is. Each week I’m sickened to have to choose who can live and who will not. The more help we beg for, the more we can save.
