Optimists of Pacific Palisades Community Service Club having fun together with a motto of "Bringing Out the Best in Youth." for breakfast, fellowship and an informative program.

The Optimist Club of Pacific Palisades is a member of Zone 7 of the Pacific Southwest District of Optimist International. We meet the first four Tuesdays of each month at Aldersgate Retreat Center at 7:30 a.m.

It is with heavy heart to announce the passing of our dear Palisades Optimis Founding member Dr. Mario Mike Martini. He died peacefully in his bed this morning, Oct.12,2022. There are few words to express the deep pain and sorrow of loosing this exceptional friend and community leder. Martini was the light in this world and touched so many hearts during his life. We will keep you posted with his services.

For 43 years, the Optimist Club of Pacific Palisades and the Palisades Will Rogers 5 & 10K Run Committee have provided funding and volunteers to help accomplish a mutual goal of “Bring Out The Best In Kids”. Financial grants that assist community organizations, schools and groups serving our youth and promoting worthwhile youth activities are awarded annually.

This letter is to thank the Palisades Will Rogers 5 & 10k Run Foundation for their generous $30,000 contribution to the Optimist Club of Pacific Palisades. The featured speaker at our January 14, 2020 Tuesday morning meeting will be Pali High Senior Chase McSorley who will talk about his experience last summer as an volunteer intern on a Floating Doctors medical humanitarian trip to the far reaches of the jungle in Panama. On Nov. 19th Chase was awarded Optimist Student of the Month for his dedication and service to others.
