🎃⚓️ PACIFIC CITY’S DORY FLEET IS GETTING A LITTLE SPOOKY! 👻🚤
There’s a new(ish) tradition in town—and this one comes with decorated Dory boats, costumed fishermen, candy, games, music, food and a whole lot of Halloween fun!
All October long, stop by the Kiawanda Community Center and take a peek inside the lobby display case celebrating Trick-or-Treat the Dory Fleet, Pacific City’s newest tradition honoring our more-than-century-old Dory fishing fleet. 🎃⚓️
How did it begin?
Back in 2021, Kiawanda Community Center Board member Arica Sears had a wonderfully Pacific City idea: take the popular “Trunk-or-Treat” concept and give it a distinctly local twist.
Why decorate car trunks when we have DORY BOATS?! 😎🎃
And just like that, Trick-or-Treat the Dory Fleet was born.
Every year brings something a little different—new decorations, new costumes, new creative ideas—but the heart of the tradition stays the same: bringing Pacific City families and the surrounding community together for a safe, fun Halloween celebration surrounded by the boats and people who make this community so special.
👀 So what’s hiding in the display case?
Come see for yourself!
Stop by the Kiawanda Community Center lobby during October, check out the Dory Fleet display, learn a little about how this beloved Halloween tradition got started, and get yourself in the Halloween spirit.
And while you’re here… MARK YOUR CALENDAR! 📅
