Leadership Franklin County celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026 on May 19th. Congratulations to this outstanding group of graduates for their dedication to becoming active leaders in our community. We applaud each participant for their commitment to personal growth, community involvement, and giving back to Franklin County.

This year’s class earned a Crucial Conversations certificate through a partnership with McClure Professional Services and completed a meaningful service project at Ozark Nursing Home and Rehab and Greenhurst Nursing Home. Class members planted flowers and spent time playing bingo with residents, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved. It was a special day filled with connection, kindness, and lasting memories for both the residents and Leadership Franklin County participants.

The Outstanding Class Member award was presented to Rosemary Hall. Nominated by her classmates, Rosemary was recognized for consistently bringing a positive attitude, strong attendance, and a willingness to help in any way possible. Amanda Jennings was also recognized for her leadership in organizing the class service project and was selected by her classmates to speak during the graduation ceremony.

Nominations and applications are now being accepted for the 2026–2027 Leadership Franklin County class, which will begin in August. Applications will be accepted through July 8th.

Eleven members of the Leadership Franklin County program completed their 2025–26 service project by visiting Ozark Nursing and Rehab and Greenhurst Nursing Center in Franklin County!

Yesterday was our State Government Session!
A big thank you to Representative Eaton and Puryear for taking the time to meet with us. It was a great opportunity for the Class of 2026 to connect with their representatives and learn more about their work.
Thank you as well to Jaime Land, Director of Government Relations with Arkansas Tech University, for spending time with the group and sharing valuable insight.

Yesterday we had an insightful session focused on Quality of Life,Tourism,and Agriculture in Franklin County. We explored the many ways our community continues to grow and thrive through these key areas. We’re proud to be a part of a community that values growth, sustainability, and a high quality of life for everyone. Thank you to our partners with USDA Forest Service, Franklin County Extension Office, Ecodrum Composters and Post Winery for their support and commitment to our community.

Our Education Session was meaningful and impactful! Franklin County has so many amazing opportunities for growth and change. Thank you to Mr. Flynn and his team for their hospitality and showcasing Cass Job Corps. The culinary arts students presented a wonderful lunch!
