District Friends đź‘‹,
Please save the date to join us in Springfield for some Cardinals baseball for Elks Night June 27th! ⚾️
It would be helpful if you could start taking reservations at your individual lodges with t-shirt sizes for those planning to participate to help us coordinate the ticket sales (a reservation means a pledge to pay the $25 ticket and tshirt package). This is a special navy blue tshirt made especially for us. There will also be fireworks that night đź’Ą. We look forward to seeing you at the #409.

As representatives of Christian County Elks 2777, we had the opportunity to visit the OTC Richwood Valley Campus and present them with a check for $750 toward their scholarship fund. Amazing place to help our young men and women a chance to get a jumpstart on their careers.

There’s something truly special about being an Elk. It’s not just meetings, events, or traditions… it’s heart. ❤️
When tragedy strikes, Elks don’t hesitate. They step forward.
Recently, Springfield Lodge #409 raised over $12,000 to support the families of fallen deputies. Real people, real heroes, and real need.
That’s what selflessness looks like.
That’s what community looks like.
That’s what being an Elk means.
We stand behind our First Responders and not just in words, but in action. In compassion. In unwavering support when it matters most.
Proud to be part of an organization that shows up, gives back, and lifts others in their darkest moments.
Elks Care. Elks Share. 🦌💙

"I want to introduce one of the newest initiatives of the #409: “Blessing Bundles”.
This started out of a challenge presented by the State President Jason Meisenheimer back in July when he and his team visited and presented the ECHO program (Elks Charities Helping Others). You might actually be surprised how difficult it is to actually speak to a leader within the Department of Social Services, but after several months of assistance from Theresa Suda, Russ Suda, Cricket Vaughan, and myself, we’ve identified 41 youth ages 13-17 who need our help!

The #409 Blessing Bundles Mission is to ensure every displaced young person leaves with a backpack, not a garbage bag during housing transitions. The #409 Blessing Bundle Projects unites our communities to provide backpacks filled with personal care and comfort items, empowering youth with dignity support, and confidence as they navigate their next steps.

Last week (with the help of the Past Exalted Rulers) we started assembling the backpacks. We are far from done and could use your help and support. I’d like to personally thank the #409 committees for their donation consideration, but especially Frank Stevens for his donation to help get this initiative off the ground.
The Amazon Wish List is detailed in the comments if you’d like to personally donate."
