Every second matters in an emergency situation, and that’s why we train.

Our recent emergency response simulation was an opportunity for our Ozark Parks and Rec lifeguards to practice life-saving skills, build confidence, and prepare for the moments where every decision makes a difference.

Thank you to all our local emergency services who volunteered their time to participate in the training.

Today (June 12), Ozark Parks and Recreation lifeguards and staff joined the Ozark Police Department - Ozark, Missouri, Ozark Fire Protection District, Christian County Ambulance District, and Christian County Emergency Services for an emergency response training simulation.

Working together in realistic scenarios, agencies simulated rescue techniques, communication, and rapid response procedures to keep them prepared for emergencies at the Grubaugh Municipal Pool and the indoor pool at The OC. These kinds of training strengthen teamwork, sharpen skills, and help provide a safer experience for everyone who visits our aquatic facilities.

A huge thank you to all of the first responders and staff who were a part of this valuable exercise, and for their continued commitment to keeping our community safe!
