Congratulations Zandi Foss.!

Foss, an administravtive support associate with Dale County Extension, received the Farm-City Service Award during the Alabama Farm-City Awards Luncheon. The Farm-City Service Award recognizes a leader who goes above and beyond to promote the mission of Farm-City. Foss's nominator hailed her for her selflessly working early mornings and late nights while bridging the gap between rural and urban communities.

For our last day of National Volunteer Week, we’re highlighting our 4-H homeschool club volunteer, Jaclyn Wilson. Jaclyn truly embodies the 4H motto, “To Make the Best Better!” Whether she is teaching about strawberry jam or encouraging the members to participate in contests, she makes sure every kid feels encouraged and supported.

When asked what she likes most about volunteering with 4-H, Jaclyn shared, “I love seeing the kids learn and have fun! Through 4-H, we’re able to meet the needs of homeschoolers, especially with such a wide age range.”

Her passion, creativity, and dedication are making a lasting impact on our youth, and we are so grateful for all she does!
