Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated became a viable constituent in Ventura County when Xi Kappa Omega Chapter was officially chartered on June 19, 1982. Our Chapter’s mission is aligned with the international mission, “Service to All Mankind” and is reflective of our commitment to make a difference in the lives of others through the continuation of high ideals set by our founders i
n 1908. We continue to emphasize SERVICE both locally and internationally through leadership, advocacy, meaningful community programs, and creative collaborative partnerships while supporting our international theme, “Global Leadership through Timeless Service.”
In 1982, the Xi Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Since that time, its members have continued the sorority’s tradition of helping others by vigorously supporting the community through various programs of scholarship and service. Over the past 40 years Xi Kappa Omega chapter has endeavored to provide “Supreme Service to All Mankind: through the following programs:

•Young Authors Program,“Adopt a Family” Gift Program

Xi Kappa Omega Chapter also supervises the Undergraduate Chapter-Nu Nu which is located on the campus of UC Santa Barbara. The members of Xi Kappa Omega Chapter would like to offer our gratitude to the loving memory of our beloved Soror Ernestine Hernandez. Over forty years ago Soror Hernandez had the vision to bring together other like-minded Alpha Kappa Alpha women to charter Xi Kappa Omega chapter.
