Hello October

"My husband, Jason, is a supervisor for The Department of Family and Children services. He among many others do a very Thankless yet fulfilling job and well it takes a very special person to handle these cases. Yet the case workers and investigators are hardly recognized when there is something great that happens. After taking this baby into the care of the state, in the process of placing him into foster care, he had to stay after hours and return to pick him back up before hours. Being away from family and familiar faces, the baby was kinda fussy and so he was soothing him and well needless to say they had a special moment...
In a world of hate, anger, arguments of guns and no guns, ridiculous political mud slinging there are children that are struggling with day to day life. It is those people that care for the children that are overlooked, underpaid and well just not recognized for the amazing, loving jobs that they do. You never hear anyone say 'oh yay, here comes DFACS(Department of Family and Children services.' They run and avoid, lie and don't cooperate when the job they are doing is trying to help the Children. Attached is the perfect picture of the love and compassion that these guys give that goes unnoticed, while he had stayed out after hours with this baby and went in 2 hours early, his focus was to make sure this baby was cared for and felt safe."

"I adopted my son at birth knowing he had a genetic disorder. He is now 6 and non verbal but uses sign for communication. We are fostering a beautiful deafie boxer girl (soon to be adopted!). She is amazing with my son. She is the most gentle, loving girl ever. The most BEAUTIFUL part of this adoption is my son and his dog can actually talk to each other! I highly encourage adoption of deaf dogs ... She is such a perfect addition to our family. We have been blessed with Ellie."

"After leaving out of the store today my daughter did something that really made me stop and think. There was this guy sitting there crying and she asks me 'did you see that man crying? What's wrong with him?' I said yes but I'm not sure maybe he's just sad...She said, 'maybe he's hot and thirsty' she walked over to him and goes 'hi sir be happy it's a nice day it's not raining. Are you hot? Why don't you go home the ground is dirty?' He says I have no home but I will be ok. She looked at him with the saddest face and goes 'so that means you're homeless. So you have no food because you have no refrigerator.' She gave him a few dollars out of her purse and her drink and said, 'Please go eat. It would make me happy. I like McDonald's you should go there.' I could tell she made his day. On top of that 2 more people came up and gave money as well. We had a small conversation and he explained his trailer burnt down and he lost everything including his wife. I felt for him. It just warms my heart. A 6 year old lead by example this morning. AWESOME! Kids see no color and that's exactly how it should be. It's not just a statement saying that the children are our future, it's a FACT. That gives me a little more hope for the world."

“On Wednesday in Alabama, a Walker County Sheriff's Office Deputy came across a man walking down the road with an oxygen tank and learned he is a Disabled American Veteran trying to walk/hitchhike from the Jasper area to Huntsville for a Dr. Appointment he was told he could not miss. With no way to get there, he said he started walking. The deputy acted quickly and escorted the Gulf War Veteran to the Cullman County line where a Cullman Sheriff Deputy picked him up. The deputy then transported him to the Morgan County Line where a Morgan County Sheriff Deputy took over and met a Madison County Sheriff Office Deputy in Huntsville who finished the trip and took the man to his appointment. After an overnight stay, we were happy to do it all again today..... in reverse to help get the man back home. We are thankful for our Veterans and were honored to play a small role in supporting this man who gave a great deal for our country!” 🇺🇸 ❤️
