A well-deserved congratulations to long-time Oxford Empty Bowls chair Connie Malone, who was recently honored with Miami University's 2026 Distinguished Service Award! This award recognizes faculty or staff who have made a significant impact on the life and mission of Miami University.

Connie's dedication to serving others extends far beyond campus. Read on to learn more about Connie's work for Project Dragonfly in Miami's Biology department, as well as her many contributions across campus and throughout the Oxford community.

We are especially grateful for Connie's 20 years of leadership to Oxford Empty Bowls. Her commitment to this cause has made such a difference for those experiencing food insecurity in the Oxford area.
