'A Taste of the Area' is a food and beverage tasting event that brings together and promotes local Michigan restaurants, businesses, music, and plain awesome people! Get your ticket, and enjoy all the great food that is offered and learn about the restaurants and chefs that bring you this cuisine. Each time this event happens, it takes place to raise funds for a worthy organization. In 2015, A Tas

te of the Area raised funds for the 'Phoenix North Rise Above' grant- which was awarded to a music student that is a part of the 'Young Musicians Community' of Lapeer County, Michigan.

'A Taste of the Area' was founded by Suzan Pleva, who is a large supporter and advocate of Community, and keeping it local. She is a Piano Instructor who believes that music, food and great company go together hand-in-hand.
