Warm weather is heading our way next week. According to the National Weather Service, they could be record-breaking temperatures!

Record warm lows will be possible from Monday into Wednesday of next week. Many of the existing records occurred back in 1981.

A tiger stripped male cat has gotten out in the Parker Lake area. He's been an indoor cat (fixed and declawed) since he was a kitten and won't fair well outdoors too long. Has anyone seen it?

PARKER LAKE LODGE MEMORIES! - My buddy Pete and I pulled out the existing backbar cabinets during the remodeling in April 2015. After getting the cabinets pulled forward, I noticed this old posterboard sandwich menu measuring 19" w x 17-1/2" h. Mark wasn't sure when it was from, but we agreed that, based on the simple menu and pricing, it was long ago. Mark wasn't as interested in it as I was; he was more interested in all the change that had fallen behind the old backbar cabinets. : ) - Steve

This weekend is free fishing weekend! Make sure you check the ice conditions before going on any lake. The temperatures have been warm lately!

Winter Free Fishing Weekend is on deck for Jan. 17 and 18. Everyone can fish Wisconsin waters without a fishing license, trout stamp or salmon stamp. Check your area for events, including beginner-friendly opportunities.

Keep in mind all regular fishing regulations still apply. That means size and bag limits and season. Make sure you check for any special regulations in effect on many trout waters.

As you head out, remember no ice is ever 100% safe. Dress appropriately for the weather and bring safety gear, including:
– Warm layers that are water-resistant
– Sturdy waterproof boots with spike-style creepers for traction
– Extra hat and gloves
– Rescue throw rope
– Ice claws

The DNR does not monitor local ice conditions. However, local bait shops and fishing clubs are good sources for current conditions and fishing tips.

Every year between Christmas and New Years we bring the grandkids to Parker Lake to get a group picture on the lake. We went today and it just wasn't the same, it was cold and dark, no Mark to great us after the picture, no grandkids drinking kiddie cocktails at the bar, no burgers, no chili, and no stories and jokes from Mark. We miss you, Mark, and cherish all the good times and memories we had with you! - Steve and Sue Miller, and family

Another successful Annual Parker Lake Association Poker Rally was held on Saturday, August 30, 2025. There were 106 participants, great weather, great hosts, great food, great drinks, and a great time! Leo was the high-hand winner, and Robin was the low-hand winner. Thanks to Roxanne and all the volunteers and hosts that make this event a yearly sucess!!!!
