Greetings to my Wilson Family,

This message is shared with a heavy heart. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear cousin, Darrell Crosby-Williams, beloved son of Cathy Crosby-Williams.

On behalf of the Wilson Family at large, we extend our deepest condolences, love, comfort, and prayers during this difficult time. Scripture reminds us that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

It is with great sadness that I formally announce the passing of one of our eldest love ones Mrs. Sarah Blackwell Downey. She went home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2025 joining lineage of ancestor’s gone before us. Sarah is the widow of William H Downey (Jimmy) who was the grandson of William Wilson.

On behalf of the committee we send our deepest condolences to her daughter Rachel Downey and immediate family. Rachel has been committee member of the Wilson Family for decades ensuring that we keep family first. She was an excellent care provider for her mom showering her with loving care and support. She ensured that mom never missed a family reunion. She will be greatly missed.

As Pastoral Month comes to an end, the Wilson Family would like to pay homage to our many family members in ministry.

My prayer is that God continues to preserve the strength of each of you and allow you all to experience the fullness of life in God.

We appreciate you, we value you, we see you and we love us some you. Thanks for showing up for us year after year.

Our beloved Patriarch has earned his royal crown. It is with great sadness that I announce the transitioning of one of my favorite Wilson Men Theodore Bowden.

On behalf of the Wilson Family we extend our deepest condolences during this difficult season. Please keep his daughter Felicia, sons Kevin, Terrence and Theodore Jr., grands and great grands uplifted in prayer.

A viewing has been scheduled tomorrow at Wrights Funeral Home in Oxford, NC 5pm-7pm.

I am deeply sadden to announce that our Matriach Willia S Downey Morton the eldest of the Wilson Family has gained her royal crown.

The viewing will be Tuesday February 13th from 12pm-1:30pm at Mount Salvation Baptist Church 1961 N Culpepper Street Arlington, Virginia 22207.

The funeral will take place on Saturday February 17. 2024 at 11:00am at Wrights Funeral Home in Oxford, North Carolina.

Merry Xmas Wilson Family!! This day is bittersweet as I formally announce the loss of one of our Matriarch Mary Butler Wilson (Née) she transitioned on December 18, 2023. As we celebrate the Birth of Christ today it would’ve been Aunt Mary birthday as well.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to Aunt Mary!!

Aunt Mary services will be at Betts and Sons Funeral Home, Oxford, NC, on Saturday December 30th at 12 pm. The viewing will be at 11am. Internment will be at Huntsville Baptist Church.
