The Luna Cares Fund is in honor of my late mother, Sara Davis Emery. I created this fund with the help of my staff at Luna Blu and many wonderful friends to support local women following the formidable diagnosis of cancer. The Luna Cares Fund will help offset costs of treatments, doctor visits, hospital stays, surgeries, prosthetic (wigs, etc.), counseling, prescriptions and other medical costs that incur during their devastating battle. Cancer patients who become too sick to work after their diagnosis are particularly vulnerable because they may face a loss of income at the same time they are faced with paying the full cost of insurance premiums to maintain coverage. My dream is to remove the financial burdens of these patients, regardless if they are insured, under-insured or uninsured, so they may spend this precious time with their families and concentrate on what is really important - HEALING...

In regards to so many questions about our annual, Love Honor Care game, regretfully Miami Athletics has decided to go in a different direction this year.
The game will no longer support The Luna Cares Fund and instead another worthy nonprofit that supports cancer research in the greater Cincinnati area.
We are so grateful to have had this event for the last ten years and for all of you who were always there supporting us ❤️
We are in the process of planning new events that will be community involved in the near future!
We’re open to suggestions as we definitely want to involve our local community where our funds are raised and used. The women that are fighting cancer in our community remain our #1 priority!
