Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month 2026

Dating violence is more common than people think, especially among Mississippi teens. Nearly 1 in 10 Mississippi high school students experience physical dating violence.

This Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, we're joining Love Is Respect's campaign to educate, empower, and advocate for healthy relationships. Throughout February, we'll be sharing statistics, resources, and important information to help our communities recognize the signs and support teens in building safe, respectful relationships

We truly appreciate the community support we have received today while navigating our flooded building! Assistance from staff, board members, former staff, old friends, and new friends made this day much more manageable. There is still work to be done after things dry out, but for now the process has begun.

For those who reached out offering assistance in the future, we will definitely be reaching out when we get to that point.

Due to the recent ice storm, our office is currently closed as we undergo some damage repair due to a busted water line.

Attn Oxford friends! Do you have boxes or plastic storage containers that you could part with? Family Crisis Services of Northwest Mississippi, Inc. had a busted water line that flooded our building. We will be boxing up what is salvageable to make room for the workers to get us back up and running. If you have any boxes or plastic containers, you can drop them off at FCS (503 Heritage Drive) on Thursday and leave them on the front porch. Please feel free to share!
