The University of Mississippi Museum Artist Talk! Join us at the UM Museum on Friday, September 25th for an artist talk with sculptor Jeffie Brewer! Brewer will discuss his art practice and “Squirrel on a Nut,” a sculpture recently acquired by the Friends of the Museum for the UM Museum.

A Texas native, Brewer is a sculptor, designer and educator whose work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions across North America, England, Mexico and Japan. His work is influenced by an early appreciation for finding beauty in the mundane and a background spanning sculpture, metals, drawing, printmaking and design.

Join us Saturday, September 26, for a guided trolley tour of the sculptures along the Yokna Sculpture Trail! Guests can choose from two trolley departure locations:

📍Lamar Park
Check - in: 8:40 a.m.
Trolley departs: 9:00 a.m.

📍University Museum
Check - in: 9:00 a.m.
Trolley departs: 9:20 a.m.

Space is limited! Each trolley can accommodate 30 - 35 guests!

Oxsicles will be at the Museum for refreshing treats available for purchase!

Brochures will be available for guests, and children will receive special Trolley Trek activity kits to enjoy along the way!

Bring the whole family and spend your Saturday morning discovering art throughout the Oxford community. We hope to see you there!

Hiking here means treating every visit like a small exhibit, one that just happens to be surrounded by actual Mississippi forest instead of gallery walls.
