He’s hid respirators, he’s banned chloroquine, he’s refused re*****on arms help to make more respirators, he’s stealing upstate NY’s respirators, he’s sending sick homeless and others to upstate hospitals to get them outta his city, and has dictated who should live and who should die based on age, wealth, previous medical history, and maybe political affiliations? I am writing this as Daniel Wilson. I am a current member in good standing of SCOPE. An active and participating member of Southern Tier SCOPE. I have given much dedication to SCOPE as I have seen some of the good things they have done. I see a need for a unified voice to defend and retain our Second Amendment rights. As a member I feel I have the right to voice my opinions, to comment on others opinions. And in this election season it is very important for us all to have discussions on the candidates for public office. It is fact that with nonprofit status neither Southern Tier SCOPE, other chapters nor even SCOPE statewide can endorse any one campaign.

Because of past issues with posts that were vulgar, aggressive, threatening and even harmful to SCOPE statewide a policy of using admins to approve posts to insure a respectful exchange of comments. Recently I have made posts on the SCOPE page that have gone unapproved or deleted. Not because they were argumentative or disrespectful but simply because the points I wish to make do not fit in their box. My posts have been in support of Larry Sharpe for Governor or pointing out the actions of the NY GOP over the past five years and how the republican establishment has failed us. Now all may not agree with my opinion but you should agree I have every right as anyone else to discuss these issues. Civil debate is a great tool for educating our members and using the admins as censors is not only harmful to the membership but could also could be construed as SCOPE endorsing a candidate. I would hope SCOPE statewide would address these issues so that we as members can have open, honest, and civil debate as we move into the heart of this campaign season.

On Sunday the Unadilla Rod and Gun Club is having their outdoor Gun Show and Flea market. I will have a spot to vend SCOPE merchandise. I will also be selling raffle tickets for SHEEPDOG WARRIORS to raise funds for legal defense of gun owners Second Amendment rights. I sure could use some help tend to the tables and collecting donations. But at the very least come see us, buy a raffle ticket or some custom made SouthernTier SCOPE Targets, t-shirts, hats, etc.
