The Cats of CatNip Row Rescue & Sanctuary

The Cats of CatNip Row Rescue & Sanctuary Just a one person show trying to make a difference. Welcome! This page documents the life of the cats that come to The Row. These cats have come from all corners.
(2)

Most are sick, have physical disabilities, feral, or just unwanted. A lot of times the odds are not in their favor when I get them. Most are saved, some pass on, but ALL kitties on The Row no matter what, have love, vet care, a full belly, treats, toys, shelter and soft beds. I also adopt cats into appropriate homes with an approved application. Declawing is strictly prohibited! I do all this by m

yself, with my own money and also with the generosity of followers of The Row. I try to focus on the fun that is had, post lots of photos of cats/ kittens having fun and let people see how wonderful these cats are. I also take in kittens, not just cats. Kittens are quite difficult and die easily under the best circumstances. Most that I get are orphaned, sick or unwanted. It is hard to know what all they have been through or what they have already contracted before I get them. I do everything I can for them, including vet care. No cat or kitten on The Row will want for anything. I work at a local vet clinic and am known as the crazy cat lady for sure. I work with great, knowledgeable, skilled vets that are wonderful with my cats. I accept donations, mail, etc., for the kitties. I have a wish list under the name "The Cats of Cat Nip(two words) Row Rescue & Sanctuary" on Amazon and my paypal is [email protected]
My address is Shannon White PO Box 2863 Oxford, Ms 38655. Make anything out to the rescue or me. I hope you enjoy this page, and thank you for coming by!

Good morning
He’s had his meal & nutical. When I tried to clean his face, you could tell he was aggravated like a little kid. Yes!! Keep those good vibes coming and hopefully we are now on the backside of this horrible virus.

Look at this little warrior! He is really trying hard and feeling all the love you guys are sending!

Okay, a couple of things. I’ve been asked is he in pain? I’m sure being so sick he is quite uncomfortable and I would imagine it’s like us when we have the flu. He has proven to be extraordinary tough so I think what he’s going through won’t matter in 6 months.

Does he have a wishlist on Amazon? I don’t have one for him right now because anything that gets in contact with him, will be disposed of. Yes, panleukopenia is contagious and I wouldn’t want to risk it. I can make a wishlist but if you send him something, please know that it will be thrown out until he tests negative. He’s not moving around so he really doesn’t need toys or trees at this time. If you’re interested, let me know and I’ll get one done tonight.

Why does his blood glucose keep dropping? Well, because he’s basically septic and he’s having trouble regulating anything on his own right now. Remember, not only does he have panleuk, but also had likely head trauma, parasites and he’s anemic. Plus, he’s barely over one pound in weight.

He’s still fighting for his life but he has all of us in his corner, plus great doctors and technicians. I am truly trying my hardest for our precious boy. I’m liking the little glint I’m seeing in his eyes in this pic that I just took even though his cute little face is dirty.

I’m headed to bed so I can get up in a few hours to do his feeding and nutrical and continue that through the night. I have to work tomorrow so he will be going with me to the vet clinic.
Let’s go, 🧡

His wishlist. There are only 3 items on there (for now🧡). *Reminder, any items sent while he is sick, will be thrown out when he tests negative for panleukopenia.

I’m also putting a link in the comments that gives information about panleukopenia.

Butterscotch is holding his own right now. He had a good meal and seems alert. I’m a bit under the weather so I’m going to drop him off at the vet and I’m going head to the doctor myself. Keep those good vibes coming for our little warrior!

Butterscotch just had a good meal, his cerenia and eye drops. I think he feels better than yesterday.

Tomorrow will be day 7 of this horrible virus. He should
start to improve or the damage to his little body will be too great and he won’t recover. I’ve not been happy with how he has felt today. His next feeding is 1130 pm then 2 am then 5 am. He will of course be going to work with me tomorrow at the vet clinic. The fluids definitely helped him today but he’s struggling. Please send all the good vibes you have. I’m worried.😕
Come on baby Butterscotch!
We all love you so much!🧡

My feral boys that I tnr’d.
Chess & Domino.
I was glad to see Chess (grey) because I had not seen him on my cameras in about 4 days. Domino is very good about the schedule and will now eat in the yard if I’m in it.
My boys❤️

A step back for Butterscotch right now. His blood glucose has dropped again so he’s back on fluids. I thought he was just tired so I’m glad I followed my gut and brought it to the doctor’s attention. Please keep sending those good vibes for this warrior.
