Your Oxford Town Budget is nearing completion. Three additional meetings have been set by your Board of Finance to review and discuss the budget. Consider attending if you can, or if you cannot make it due to family, work or civic commitments, ask your Board of Finance Chairman to make a recording available.

Hello! Budget season continues. The Board of Finance has heard from the departments and now needs to discuss what they have heard. The posted agenda also mentions discussion of Capital budget requests. Two special meetings are set for this week to hold those discussions. If you want to know what is on the members' minds, you can attend these meetings. There will not be an audience of citizens.

Hello again!
Did you know that the Board of Selectmen are in charge of appointing residents to committees that they establish to serve the town? They are also responsible for giving those committees and their members their instructions or charge. In January, the Board of Selectmen gave the Charter Revision Committee the following charge.

Good Morning!
You've probably heard a lot of talk about our country's Constitution lately, but did you know that Oxford has its own version of a constitution called the Town Charter? You can find a copy of it here https://www.oxford-ct.gov/DocumentCenter/View/431
The Town Charter is reviewed and revised on a regular basis. There is currently a Charter Revision Committee established to review and revise this important document.

Revised agendas for upcoming Board of Finance Meetings have been posted. The dates are:
March 17 - agenda includes Board of Ed
March 19 - agenda includes Fire Dept, Civil preparedness and P & Z
March 23 - agenda includes Public Works and Library
I can only fully record/livestream March 23, and the first hour of March 17
PLEASE consider if you would be willing to cover the other meetings.

Another great opportunity for the town and the schools to work together. Hopefully this will be repaired soon!

School officials said Quaker Farms School will remain closed Tuesday as crews continue working to restore heat.
