The Thomas Hayes Mayo Lab was named for Thomas Mayo, a beloved Ole Miss student who died at 21 of fentanyl poisoning. The lab develops and executes a variety of programming and content — including peer-to-peer education efforts, a-first-of-its-kind wellbeing curriculum and a premium national podcast — that make innovative research accessible through engaging storytelling.

Huge turnout at the Thomas Hayes Mayo 5K this morning!

It was amazing seeing all of the love and support for the Mayo Family and the Mayo Lab. Sigma Chi was able to raise $40,000 for the Thomas Hayes Mayo Lab and the William Magee Institute.

“With friends I was always saying “Hello” and then I was saying “Goodbye” a lot, so a lot of times I think that I approach relationships thinking that I am going to be saying goodbye. I think that being in college and being able to see the same people for 4 years has been a huge growing thing for me.”
