🐾❤️ 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗗𝗢 𝗪𝗘 𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗗𝗢𝗚𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗠𝗘𝗦? 🎉🤠

Because sometimes, a cowboy hat, a birthday hat, or a fancy little scarf is all it takes to make someone stop scrolling. ❤️

And that one extra second of attention? 𝗜𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗼𝗴’𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.

At K9 Stray Rescue League, we’re always looking for creative ways to help our dogs get noticed. Some have been waiting far too long for someone to see just how wonderful they are.

Sure, the costumes make us laugh. And yes, our volunteers have a little too much fun with these photo shoots! 😂

But there’s a bigger reason behind the silliness.

🐾 We want you to stop scrolling.

🐾 We want you to smile.

🐾 We want you to share their photos.

🐾 And most importantly, 𝗪𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗘𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗠.

Not just as another shelter dog, but as a personality. A best friend. A family member. A dog who deserves a chance to be loved.

Our dogs aren’t just waiting for homes. They’re waiting for someone to notice them.

So the next time you see one of our pups rocking a ridiculous outfit, know there’s a little more behind that photo than a good laugh.

𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲, 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲. ❤️

And if a silly hat helps make that happen? We’ll keep the hats coming! 🎩🐶

🐾 𝙀𝙇𝙇𝘼’𝙎 𝙋𝙄𝘾𝙆: 𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙆𝙀𝙍! 🐾

Meet Parker, Ella’s pick for the handsome boy who is basically 𝟲𝟭 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲, 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺! ❤️

Estimated to be about 1 year old, Parker is a lovable Mastiff mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s one of those dogs who can make you smile without even trying. A little goofy, a whole lot of adorable, and always ready to soak up some attention!

Parker is an affectionate, playful boy who enjoys spending time with his people. He loves his toys, has a wonderfully soft mouth when taking things, and willingly gives up toys and rawhides. He’s got so much potential and just needs a family willing to help him continue learning his manners.

And don’t let his size fool you! Underneath that big, handsome exterior is a sweet, fun-loving pup who just wants to be part of the family. 🥰

🐾 About 1 year old
🐾 61 pounds
🐾 Mastiff mix
🐾 Teens 13+
🐾 Affectionate & playful
🐾 Loves toys and attention
🐾 Dog friendly with proper introductions
🐾 Would benefit from a yard to play in
🐾 Needs continued structure and guidance

Parker has also enjoyed getting out into the community with our volunteers, showing off his fun personality and making new friends along the way!

Like any young dog, Parker is still learning. He needs someone who understands that 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗽𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, but the love and laughter he’ll bring to the right home will make it all worthwhile.

Ella sees something special in this handsome guy, and we think you will too!

Come meet Parker and see why he’s 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗮’𝘀 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸! 🐾❤️

🐾❤️ 𝗪𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧 𝗪𝗘𝗗𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬: 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗕𝗜𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗦𝗛 𝗬𝗘𝗧! ❤️🐾

This Wednesday, we're asking for something a little different.

Not dog food. Not blankets. Not toys.

𝗪𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀. 🏡🐶

Our current K9 Stray Rescue League facility has served us for many years, but it's aging, and we know our dogs deserve more.

They deserve a facility designed around their comfort, safety, health, and well-being. A place where we can provide the best possible care while they wait for the families who will change their lives.

𝗪𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

🎥 We've shared an 18-minute video explaining our mission and our hopes for the future.

We know 18 minutes is a lot to ask in a world where most of us scroll past videos in seconds. But we're asking you to take those few minutes to understand why this matters so much.

❤️ 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘'𝗦 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣:

🏡 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 𝗨𝗦 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗬 — Do you know of land that could become the future home of K9? Do you have connections with property owners, businesses, or community members who might be able to help?

💰 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 — Financial contributions toward our new facility will help us move closer to making this dream possible.

📣 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 — You never know who might see your share. The right person, the right connection, or the right opportunity could make all the difference.

🐾 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡 𝗔 𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚.

It's about every frightened dog who comes through our doors. Every senior who needs a soft place to rest. Every energetic puppy who needs room to grow. And every dog who may spend months waiting for a second chance.

Our volunteers and supporters already give so much of themselves to these dogs. Imagine what we could accomplish with a facility built for their needs.

The girl who leans in for love, happily accepts another hug and makes new friends wherever she goes.

🐾❤️ 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗔 𝗜𝗦 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗬𝗢𝗨! ❤️🐾

We’re looking for someone special. And maybe, just maybe, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

❤️ Do you have a home without other dogs?

❤️ Do you believe that building trust and forming a special bond is worth the time?

❤️ Are you looking for a companion who will have your heart all to herself?

❤️ Do you have room in your life for a dog who just needs someone to give her a chance?

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝘄𝗲’𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮! 🐶

Mara is a volunteer favorite who has so much love to offer. She’s been spending time in a foster home, where she’s shown that she is house-trained and capable of settling into home life.

Mara isn’t asking for a house full of excitement or a bunch of furry siblings. She’s looking for a family where she can be the only dog, with children ages 13 and older.

𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲. 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻. ❤️

Could that be you?

🐾 Learn more about Mara at www.k9stray.com, or send us a message with questions!

And if Mara isn’t your match, think about someone you know who might be. 𝗧𝗮𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆. One personal connection could change Mara’s life.

🐾❤️ 𝗣𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗬 𝗡𝗢𝗪? ❤️🐾

Every year, more than 100 dogs leave K9 Stray Rescue League and head off to their forever homes. 🏡🐶

But here’s the thing…

𝗪𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗠! 🥹❤️

We spend so much time getting to know these dogs, loving them, caring for them, and helping them find their perfect families. And while saying goodbye is always bittersweet, it’s exactly what we hope for!

But once they leave our doors, we often wonder…

🐾 Are they sleeping on the couch?
🐾 Do they have a favorite toy?
🐾 Have they made new furry friends?
🐾 Are they going on adventures?
🐾 Do they still have those goofy personalities we remember?

𝗦𝗢, 𝗞𝟵 𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗠𝗡𝗜 𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗦…𝗪𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨! 📣❤️

Whether you adopted last week, last year, or 10 years ago, we’d LOVE to see how your dog is doing!

📸 Drop a picture in the comments!
🐶 Tell us their K9 name and what you call them now!
❤️ Share a little about their life today!

Or send us your story and photos at 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮@𝗞𝟵𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘆.𝗰𝗼𝗺 for a chance to be featured in an upcoming PUPDATE!

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝘂𝗽 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗞𝟵, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀. ❤️🐾

Help us fill our Sundays with happy endings!
