Must have knowledge and experience in child development; the principles of child health, safety, and nutrition; adult learning principles, and family dynamics. Prefer a Bachelor’s degree including 15 credit hours in Early Childhood Education or fields related to social services; or an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or fields related to social services/business. Happy National Home Visiting Week! As Head Start says:

“Head Start home visitors have been making house calls for longer than most people realize. In 1972, Head Start launched "Home Start", a project that sent staff directly into families' homes to deliver the full range of Head Start services. The idea was simple and ahead of its time: parents are a child's first and most important teacher, so support should come to them.
It worked! By 1973, every Head Start agency in the country could opt for a home-based program – years before home visiting became a recognized field of practice in early childhood.”

Thank you to our phenomenal Home Visitors for their dedication and positive impact on our families and children. This year, CAPWI Head Start Home Visitors have completed 1,780 home visits! We appreciate your commitment this week and every week!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Head Start Car Show! We loved seeing our families, friends, and community come together for a fun day of cars, smiles, and connection. Your support helps make special events like this possible, and we are so grateful for each of you!
A special thank you to Benton County EMS, Oxford Fire Department, and Benton County Highway Department for bringing out the ambulance, civil defense vehicle, county truck, and fire truck. The children and families loved seeing these amazing community vehicles up close!
