🌟 Gratitude Alert! 🌟

We are beyond grateful for the generous support of three incredible community foundations! 🎉 Thanks to their contributions, Thread Up Oxford can continue expanding our mission of sustainability and community engagement.

💙 Greater Oxford Community Foundation – $1,860.14 to update our Community Outreach & Education Kit, helping us spread awareness about textile sustainability.

💙 Hefner Community Fund – $500 to support our Karma Bucks program, providing children in the Talawanda School District access to free clothing and essentials.

💙 McCullough-Hyde Foundation – $300 to help expand our Karma Bucks program, reaching even more families in need.

These grants make a real difference in our community, and we couldn’t do it without the generosity of our local foundations. Thank you for investing in sustainability, education, and support for our neighbors! 💚♻️

ATTENTION: NEW TEXTILE MATERIAL DROP-OFF POLICY

STARTING MARCH 1, 2025, we will charge $0.25 per pound for all textile drop-offs (except socks, they will remain free to bring in).

Items will be weighed upon arrival, and payment is required at drop-off.

Final day for free drop-offs: February 28.

We accept a wide variety of textile donations. Please see our giving guidelines below to ensure your donation is properly prepared:

Giving Guidelines:

We accept all types of textiles as long as they are clean, bug-free, and mold-free. This includes:
- Belts, purses, unmatched socks, rags, old or worn clothing, bedding, etc.
- We are now accepting shoes, but they must be clean.
- We DO NOT accept foam couch cushions.
- Please place all donations in a plastic bag, cardboard box, or plastic bin (no paper bags, as they tend to rip!). If you have loose items, we can provide you with a bag or box on-site.
- Do not overpack bags or boxes.
- While not required, separating items (such as clothing and rags) into separate, labeled bags is always appreciated!

Donations can be dropped off at our Thread Up Oxford location at 5156 College Corner Pike during our regular hours: Tuesday through Friday, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

We also accept after-hours donations in the large bin located outside our front door. Please note that the giving guidelines still apply for after-hours drop-offs.

If you have a large donation, we kindly ask that you call ahead to arrange a time for drop-off. This will help us ensure that we have enough space to accommodate your generous contribution. You can reach us at (513) 273-1701.

📢 Call for Volunteers!
We need your help to make a difference! 🌍
On Wednesday, January 29th, at 10:30 AM, we’ll be loading 11 gaylords of textile materials to send to Matthew 25 Ministries, a wonderful organization helping keep these materials in circulation and out of landfills. 🌱
All the materials are already in prepared boxes – we just need 5 volunteers to help transfer them into gaylords and load them onto a truck. 🏋️
When: Monday, 1/29 at 10:30 AM
Where: 5156 College Corner Pike
What to bring: A can-do attitude and a little bit of muscle!

This Saturday we are hosting a Free Maker Event at Thread Up Oxford from 10:00-4:00. We will have a 3D printer set-up to make small 3D printed repairs to household items with broken or damaged plastic parts (see flyer for examples). We will also have the materials available to make your own custom key chains from small toys or trinkets.

During this event you can also shop our wonderful selection of fabrics and yarns or drop of your textile donations! We hope to see you there!
