NOTICE OF SPECIAL JOINT MEETING

All interested persons please take notice that the Granville County Board of Commissioners and the Granville County Board of Education will hold a Special Joint Meeting on Monday, November 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Granville Expo & Convention Center located at 4185 Highway 15, Oxford, NC. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss revision of voting districts as required by law. The meeting will include an opportunity for public input as described below.

Members of the public may view draft maps of the revised voting districts online, or in person at the Richard H. Thornton Library (210 Main Street, Oxford), the South Branch Library (1550 South Campus Drive, Creedmoor) and at the Granville County Administration building (141 Williamsboro Street, Oxford). Members of the public wishing to speak at the meeting must sign up to speak prior to the start of the meeting in the Expo Center lobby. Each person will have up to three minutes to speak on the topic of redistricting. Comments on topics other than revision of county voting districts will not be permitted at this meeting.
