Join us for the Oxford NAACP’s annual Freedom Fund Banquet on Friday, May 8th, at Miami’s Shriver Center, Dolibois Room on East Spring Street.

This year’s theme is
“We are One, Born and Raised by Diversity."

5 p.m.- reception featuring a cash bar.

5:30 p.m. -
Enjoy a buffet meal while honoring new Life Members and presenting awards for Community Service and Diversity Educator of the Year.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $60
All are welcome to attend.

Proceeds will support scholarships for
Talawanda graduates and branch operations.

Call for Entries for the 2026 MLK Art Show

The Oxford NAACP (sponsored by the Oxford NAACP and the City of Oxford) invites you to submit visual and literary art in recognition of the birthday of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Black History Month.

Theme this year: Meaningful Dialogue Across Differences
Entries must reflect your original ideas and/or feelings inspired by Dr. King, civil rights activists, and human rights.

Submission Guidelines
• Visual (2D): any medium, 9 x 12 inches or smaller
• Written: typed/handwritten poem, essay, story, report, letter, or song on 8.5 x 11-inch paper

Deadline: 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 16, 2026
