Mission Working Dogs

Mission Working Dogs MWD serves to improve the lives of those in our community by providing service dogs to those in need. Our training center is open by appointment only.

At Mission Working Dogs, we train purpose-bred dogs to aid individuals with disabilities so that the handler can live a life to the fullest and more independently. At this time we offer only PTSD service dogs and/or mobility assistance service dogs for those with significant mobility impairments. We also train therapy dogs for community groups like hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and mental healthcare settings.

Today we are using the hashtag to share with you all some of newest and youngest friends: Elm Street School 2nd graders!

They have been learning about communities and how to be community helpers and as one of their projects they chose to raise funds for us! MWD therapy dogs and their handlers have been visiting ESS every Thursday. As a way to give back to their community, the 2nd graders raised an amazing $500.03 and chose to change that into kibble! 11 bags of kibble were loaded up by these hard working kiddos!

Thank you so Ms. Harvey and Mrs. Stone for their commitment to opening young learner’s eyes and hearts to being the good in their communities!
