St. John's United Church of Christ of Owosso No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here. We are an inclusive church, known in town as "a little church with a BIG HEART."

As an inclusive church, we welcome everyone who is interested in following the example of Jesus Christ. Our long history of being an inclusive church in Owosso dates back to 1894. We offer Communion on the first Sunday of every month, with an "open table" which means all are welcome to take part. Our Food Pantry has been in operation since the year 2000. Our free food distribution for Shiawassee County residents takes place on the third Tuesday of every month, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

Please join us for church this Sunday, at 10:30am, in person, or from the comfort of your home via Zoom.

Throughout October, we’ll be focusing on callings. This Sunday, we’ll consider the biblical call of Isaiah. Isaiah’s call seems to contain a contradiction: he is sent to speak, yet his message is said to leave the people unable to understand. How should we make sense of this? Our reflection will be based on Isaiah 6:1–13.

How do we live into a calling that is both service to others, and an expression of love? What happens when we can't help others anymore because of age or physical limitations? Based on Mark 2:14-17 - Jesus calls a tax collector to be a disciple.

God is always calling us love, to love God and to love neighbor. O...
