The SafeCenter is seeking fellow business/non-profit tenants who understand and respect the mission/vision of SafeCenter. If you are seeking a quiet and peaceful space to conduct your business, we offer an ideal setup. Each unit features two rooms, one bathroom, open space, full kitchen, a deck, and small backyard space. These units are separate from the SafeCenter Office and Shelter, and there is ample parking with our new paved driveway.

The cost is $1400 per month, plus electricity and water/sewer. Included amenities are trash removal, snow and ice removal, and lawn care services.

The Shiawassee Family YMCA has started Walking Wednesdays! What are you doing Wednesday mornings? Anyone can join the walk, 7:00 - 7:45 AM, for free. There is a small charge for the mini circuit workout if you are not a member.

It is lovely weather for golfing! Consider getting a team together for The Laingsburg Clothesline's 4th Annual Golf Outing on Saturday, July 11th.

Looking for golf ⛳️ hole sponsors, golfers 🏌️‍♀️ and businesses who would like to donate prizes! All money raised goes toward The Connection, which provides free tutoring, and The Clothesline, which has provided clothes in our community for 20 years!

Great Start Shiawassee will be at the Shiawassee Family YMCA's Healthy Kids Day this Saturday, April 18th from 11-2. Great Start will be handing out free books! Other exciting things at the event - a bounce house, horses!, Touch-A-Truck, and so much more!

Mark your calendar for April 18th! Join the Great Start Family Coalition at Healthy Kids Day from 11-2 at the Baker College Gym! We will be giving away free children's books! There will also be a Touch A Truck and horses! Hope to see you there!

Congratulations Great Start Shiawassee on receiving a grant from the Curwood Festival!

Just like the Little Engine that could, Great Start Shiawassee continues to demonstrate optimism, perseverance, and the power of positive thinking when it comes to funding Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (DPIL)! We are very grateful to the Curwood Festival for a $5,000 grant to support DPIL. The program is currently serving over 1,900 children in Shiawassee County!

To support the Shiawassee County Dolly Parton Imagination Library, mail a donation to the Shiawassee RESD, Attn: Imagination Library, 1025 N. Shiawassee St., Corunna, MI 48817, or donate online at https://donate.imaginationlibrary.com/. Be sure to check the box for "I would like to designate this donation to a specific Imagination Library affiliate," and choose Shiawassee County.

Our Have a Heart for Respite campaign continues all of February. This is a chance to support our nonprofit, so that we may continue to serve persons with medical-health challenges (most of the persons we serve are elderly) & their family caregivers.
