We are starting this school years Voice of Democracy and Patriot Pin again for year 2026-27. Scan the QR code for all details. We are opening up the VoD and PP to our neighboring counties (Rowen and Montgomery) since they don't have local VFW's. We are also including all home school children to drum up more participation.

*Attention Home School parents: Use your child's age that correlates with the standard public school grade to determine which program your child qualifies for and falls under.

Check this out! Tonya our Grover rep will be coming down to celebrate our birthday week with a gaming night! Come play the games with a chance to win an IPad. She will be here from 6pm to 8pm on September 24th so come say hi. We are open to the public so all are welcome as long as you are 21 and over. All proceeds from our charitable gaming goes to our programs in the community and us helping veterans.

Our Post has had a big project going these past few weeks. We have been able to get a large tree removed with yard clean up then get a Vietnam veteran a new roof! So many people came together to make this happen. Thank you to the following groups: Wi******er VFW Post 2728, Wi******er Auxiliary 2728, Danville VFW Post 3634, District 10 Auxiliary, A&A Roofing, Mansea Metal, and Robison Tree Service. Exciting things are happening for Bath County! We are happy to announce the beginning of a Veteran's Park at the Owingsville Sporting Complex. The piece of land has been donated for the Memorial to be placed. The flag poles have been placed thanks to donations from Parks and Rec and the VFW Post 7497. We are currently working with the local DAV Chapter to have a kickoff fundraiser for the Memorial names stone. Stay tuned for event details coming up! Theresa Williamson Commander Post 7497
