📚🍴 GUESS WHAT’S FINALLY IN… OUR COOKBOOKS! 🍴📚

We are SO excited to finally have the Special Needs Connections of Kentucky, Inc. Family Cookbook in our hands! ❤️

And there are a couple of things that make this cookbook even more special! 💙💛

🎨 The beautiful cover was colored by our very own camper, Jessica Harvey! We love that one of our campers was able to put her own special touch on the front of a cookbook that represents our entire SNCKI family.

And, of course, Jessica had to be one of the first to look through the finished cookbook! She is pictured reviewing one of the recipes she submitted herself and making sure everything looks just right! 👩‍🍳🥰

Inside, you’ll find over 140 recipes submitted by our campers, volunteers, staff members, families, and friends. Every page has a little piece of our SNCKI family in it, which is exactly what we wanted when we started this project.

What. A. DAY! ❤️

We want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who spent their Saturday playing kickball, volunteering, cheering, sponsoring, and supporting Special Needs Connections of Kentucky, Inc.!

Was it a LONG day? Absolutely. 😂 Were we tired by the end? You better believe it! But was it worth every single minute? 100% YES!

Days like this remind us just how lucky we are to have such an amazing community behind us. We truly couldn’t do what we do-or have this much fun doing it-without all of YOU!

We’re already talking about next year and how we can make it even BIGGER and BETTER…although after this year, we’re honestly not sure how that’s possible! 😂

Thank you for showing up, supporting our mission, and making this year’s Kickball Tournament one to remember! ❤️

Get ready for another unforgettable week filled with fun, friendship, laughter, activities, and memories that will last a lifetime! We have plenty of time before camp gets here, but we wanted our campers, families, volunteers, and supporters to have the dates early so you can SAVE THE DATE!

More information about applications, volunteering, hints at what the 2027 camp theme will be, location of camp, and all the fun we have planned will be shared as we get closer. 👀🎉

People ask us all the time, “Just let me know how I can help.”

Well, the time has come.

Special Needs Camp has grown beyond the capacity of the schools that are generously donated for us to use each year. Journey with Friends has a waitlist a mile long, and we hope to expand the program to more days throughout the week.

Special Needs Connections of Kentucky, Inc. is ready to take the next big step-finding property where we can build a permanent home for our programs.

We are searching for approximately five acres of flat, buildable land in Bath County, preferably near I-64. Our programs serve individuals and families from across Central and Eastern Kentucky, so having an accessible location is extremely important.

A permanent facility would allow us to:

• Host Special Needs Camp without worrying about space limitations.

• Expand Journey with Friends and serve more individuals.

• Hold activities, meetings, and special events throughout the year.

• Create a safe, welcoming place that our special needs community can truly call home.

If you have property you are interested in selling or donating, please contact Executive Director Ralpha Swim Harvey at 606-210-1229. Property donations may also provide potential tax benefits, depending on the donor’s individual circumstances.
