We know Special Needs Camp 2026 just ended, but we are already counting down until we can all be together again! ❤️💙💛💜

Mark your calendars because Special Needs Camp 2027 is officially set for:

Get ready for another unforgettable week filled with fun, friendship, laughter, activities, and memories that will last a lifetime! We have plenty of time before camp gets here, but we wanted our campers, families, volunteers, and supporters to have the dates early so you can SAVE THE DATE!

More information about applications, volunteering, hints at what the 2027 camp theme will be, location of camp, and all the fun we have planned will be shared as we get closer. 👀🎉

People ask us all the time, “Just let me know how I can help.”

Well, the time has come.

Special Needs Camp has grown beyond the capacity of the schools that are generously donated for us to use each year. Journey with Friends has a waitlist a mile long, and we hope to expand the program to more days throughout the week.

Special Needs Connections of Kentucky, Inc. is ready to take the next big step-finding property where we can build a permanent home for our programs.

We are searching for approximately five acres of flat, buildable land in Bath County, preferably near I-64. Our programs serve individuals and families from across Central and Eastern Kentucky, so having an accessible location is extremely important.

A permanent facility would allow us to:

• Host Special Needs Camp without worrying about space limitations.

• Expand Journey with Friends and serve more individuals.

• Hold activities, meetings, and special events throughout the year.

• Create a safe, welcoming place that our special needs community can truly call home.

If you have property you are interested in selling or donating, please contact Executive Director Ralpha Swim Harvey at 606-210-1229. Property donations may also provide potential tax benefits, depending on the donor’s individual circumstances.

Day 4 was filled with nonstop fun, incredible talent, and ended with brilliant fireworks that lit up the night sky! 🎇🎆
Spent the day making sun catchers, games, table decorations, sand jars, and so much more!
We sure have some talented individuals in our midst that topped off the best day! 🎭
Thank you for all who made every part of the day possible! We are eagerly waiting for each of you to return for our last day of camp this year! Don't forget to wear those Red, White, and Blue shirts! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸
