💜 Light Up your Community This August 💜
August is International Overdose Awareness Month—a time to remember those we've lost, support those in recovery, and bring hope to individuals and families affected by substance use.
This month, we invite our entire community to stand together by showing your support:
💜 Turn your outside lights purple throughout the month of August.
👕 Wear purple to work, school, church, or around town.
📸 Share your purple photos on social media and encourage others to join the movement.
🚶 Join us on Monday, August 31, for our International Overdose Awareness Community Walk in downtown Owenton.
Every purple porch light, shirt, ribbon, and conversation helps break the stigma surrounding addiction and reminds others that recovery is possible and no one has to face this journey alone.
Together, we honor lives lost, celebrate lives in recovery, and inspire hope for the future.
