Join us for HOOVES & HEROES: Technical Large Animal Emergency Rescue Training — a hands-on course designed for first responders, farmers, veterinarians, and livestock handlers.

You’ll learn how to:
✅ Safely handle emergency situations with horses and cattle
✅ Understand animal behavior during stress

✅ Integrate livestock rescue with the Incident Command System (ICS)

We had a great turnout at the Owen County Farm Bureau meeting Thursday night!

Taylor Nash and Kyle Kelly joined us to share information about the many opportunities available through Farm Bureau for those involved in the Young Farmer and Generation Bridge programs. It was encouraging to see so many young farmers in attendance, and several stayed afterward to ask how they could get more involved.

Jeff Davis also spoke briefly about upcoming rate decreases and encouraged anyone who doesn’t currently have Kentucky Farm Bureau insurance to stop by his office and get a quote.

A big thank you to the Cobb family with Barnyard Grill for preparing a fantastic meal of pork tenderloin, chicken livers, mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy. Members also brought a great variety of homemade desserts that everyone enjoyed.

We appreciate everyone who came out and helped make it a great evening of fellowship and learning.
