The Bluegrass Century will be held on Saturday, August 24th, 2024 with a roll out time of 7:00 a.m. starting from Crosspointe Baptist Church which is located at 550 Worthington Road, Owensboro, KY. Participants can expect an experi
ence filled with safe, scenic routes on low traffic roads, fully stocked rest stops with food and hydration, and a start/finish line with food and Bluegrass Century merchandise for sale before and after the ride. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and must sign a minor registration form. The event will offer a century route(100 miles), a metric(66.8 miles), and a half metric (32 miles) route. All riders will roll out at 7 a.m. Central Time. Riders will be welcomed with fully stocked rest stops along the route no matter which distance a rider chooses. Registration starts at $65 Feb. 29th and increases to $85 March1st- July 28th. It will increase again to $100 from July 29th-Aug. 19th (midnight). Participants will only be able to register in person Friday evening (8/23) and Saturday morning of the ride. Cost will then be $100. Those who register before July 29th will be guaranteed a t-shirt and swag bag!!! Event updates will be available on the Bluegrass Century page. The Young Life Foundation is a nonprofit organization that started in Owensboro in 2011 and focuses on building mentoring relationships with middle and high school students in the local community. Friday - August 23rdth - We are changing locations this year and will use our host site Crosspoint Baptist Church for early packet pick up. Time will be 4:30-6:00. Address is 550 Worthington Road Owensboro. Saturday - August 24th (day of ride) at Crosspointe Baptist from 6-6:45AM

Walk-up registration is still available at either of the two options above. Pre-Ride -
There will be light breakfast with coffee provided from 6-7:00 a.m. at Crosspointe as well as ice, water and Gatorade to fill up your bottles. Be Real Sports (BRS) will have a tent for any last minute, minor tune ups for your ride. Ride Roll-Out 7:00a.m. for all riders, regardless of the distance you are riding. SAG Stops - These details will also be posted at registration (some are inside with AC). For the 100 miles - six (6) stops

The 32 miles route - (1) stop
All of these will have restrooms. Our volunteers will ask that you remove the top from your bottle when you need a refill. Photos - Two of the SAG stops have a photo opportunity. This will be a great moment for you to capture your memories. We will also have photographers on the routes and we will post these photos to our page when available. There will be SAG Vehicles on the road to assist with any minor hiccups that you may encounter, or pick you up if you have a major mechanical issue. If you need assistance on the road, you can call the number on in your packet received at registration. NOTE: The Bluegrass Century ride and route will NOT be supported after 4:30 p.m. Post Ride -
We will have lunch waiting for you upon your return back to the church. We also have a few showers on site if you would like to clean up a bit before you get back into your car for a long drive. You will have to provide your own towel and toiletries for this. If you use the showers, know that a donation is also appreciated. We have some tremendous community sponsors and volunteers. Some like to support cycling and activity in our community, some have joined up to support Young Life and some are from relationships that our Bicycle Owensboro Committee Members have. Whatever avenue the sponsorship and generosity has traveled down, we ask that you take the time to acknowledge and support those that have supported The Bluegrass Century. The Bluegrass Century does not take place without the financial gifts and time volunteered by the generous folks in our community.
