Meet Laurie Campbell!
Laurie Campbell is a small hobby business owner with a focus on donating a portion of proceeds back to local non-profit organizations. She also volunteers for the Daviess County Democratic Party serving on the Executive Committee and chairs several subcommittees.
A Louisville, KY native, Laurie graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Her early career included 10 years in managerial roles at National City. After she and her husband relocated to Owensboro, KY, over 30 years ago, her focus shifted to raising their three children and was actively involved in non-profit work, including Junior League, serving as Daviess County CASA Board Chair, and leading PTOs at Highland Elementary and other schools.
Completing the Prichard Committee’s CPIL program spurred her 19-year tenure as a School-Based Decision-Making Council parent and support staff representative, uniquely serving all three school levels simultaneously at one point. She also worked 13 years for Daviess County Public Schools in various capacities including teaching computer skills to K-5 students, sponsoring the STLP student club, and serving on several district-level committees. Laurie enjoys reading, crafting, watching soccer, playing piano, and walking her dogs.
