A series of expungement clinics aimed at helping individuals clear eligible criminal records and remove barriers to employment and housing will be offered across the region this summer through a partnership between the local chapter of the NAACP and Audubon Area Community Services.

I was recently at a friend’s house and noticed their neighbor mowing the yard.
He had on leather palm gloves, a hard hat, ear muffs, safety glasses, and even a dust mask. I’ll be honest I chuckled. The more I thought about it, the more I realized this.
That man wasn’t overdoing it. He was doing it right. He knows who he’s living for.
He knows what he’s protecting.
He knows that the body parts he covered in PPE are the same ones he needs to keep providing for his family. I shouldn’t have laughed I should’ve praised him.
He’s the exact example of what we teach our members every day. Safety should come first every day in every task that we do. No matter whether you’re mowing the grass or building a skyscraper. 

If you find yourself on a job and safety isn’t taken seriously please say something. has the power to make their job site safe it’s time we make them and do it. We help protect all workers, Union and Non Union because everyone deserves to go home safe. Have a safe productive week.
