Yesterday, House Republicans introduced a series of bills directed at the Building and Construction Trades and Organized Labor. HB 308, A Right To Work bill was introduced by Jim DeCesare and 7 other Republicans. Representative DeCesare was also the primary sponsor on three additional pieces of legislation; HB 309, An Act prohibiting project labor agreements on public works projects; HB 311, An Act exempting education projects from the prevailing wage statutes; and HB 312, An Act repealing the prevailing wage statutes.
Yesterday, The Senate assigned, SB 104, An Act prohibiting project labor agreements and SB 105, An Act that repeals the prevailing wage statutes in its entirety to the Senate Committee on Economic Development, Tourism and Labor. Committee members are as follows: Senators Alice Forgy Kerr, Chris Girdler, Julian Carroll, Perry Clark, Julie Denton, Ernie Harris, Jimmy Higdon, Dennis Parrett, Jerry Rhoads and Mike Wilson.
