Owensboro Community Remembrance Project A coalition reckoning with the history of racial injustice in Owensboro-Daviess County, Kentucky

Inspired by the Equal Justice Initiative (eji.org), we are embarking on a project of remembering and reckoning with the history of white supremacy and racial violence in Owensboro-Daviess County, Kentucky. Beginning with collecting soil at the site of three documented lynchings and offering as series of education events to groups in the community, our goal is to work toward creating a community of peace and reconciliation.
