Every year, Southern Star Cares creates opportunities to make a difference in the communities we call home.

Last year, we were proud to support The Hope Chest Thrift Store in Baxter Springs, Kansas, by helping to fund new freezers and refrigerators for their food pantry. Thanks to this grant, this organization was able to continue providing food assistance to community members in need.

Last year, Southern Star Cares awarded more than $235,000 in grants to support 47 nonprofit organizations across our system.

This impact is only possible because of the generosity of Southern Star team members along with the continued support of the communities we proudly serve. Together, we're creating meaningful change and supporting projects that improve lives.

Last year, we were proud to support the H.L. Neblett Community Center in Owensboro, Kentucky, by helping fund critical HVAC repairs. Thanks to this grant, the center can continue providing a safe, comfortable space for the community members who rely on its programs and services.
