Founded in 1990, the mission of Owasso Education Foundation is to support and encourage excellence in Owasso Public Schools by providing money to teachers for otherwise unfunded projects. The Foundation provides funding for educational opportunities that would not likely receive monies through the school district's general fund. Since the Foundation's inception in 1990, it has awarded hundreds of
thousands of dollars through its "Grants to Teachers" program. The Foundation is governed by a dedicated group of community volunteers and funded through corporate and individual donations. Through the generosity of these entities, the entire Owasso community has benefited from the efforts of the Foundation. With continued support from the community, the Owasso Education Foundation will promote educational excellence, and generate optimism and excitement in both students and teachers. Also, continued community ownership and confidence will be inspired, showing pride in the public schools of Owasso.
