Gimme The MIC Live "Hair in the Spirit" was est. 2001 with mission to empower , train, and create jobs. HITS is a driving force for economic development in our community.

Hair in the Spirit is a small organization without any state or federal funding. HITS has been the start for many youth attending prestigous universities such as UM of Miami, UCF of Orlando, Florida State, FAMU, Howard, ADU School of Cosmetology to name a few. We have been serving the community in which we do business for over 27 years with our parent company All Dolled Up Unisex Beauty Salons, Inc.

Our Story

Hair in the Spirit(HITS) is a well known Tax Exempt Non-Profit Organization under statue 501c3. Most of our donations are given through Philanthropic donors and are tax deductible. HITS has been the start for many youths pursuing high learning at prestigious universities such as UM of Miami, UCF of Orlando, Florida State, FAMU, Howard and our very own ADU School of Cosmetology to name a few through scholarships. Hair In the Spirit (HITS) also trains, educates and provide jobs for young adults in our Apprentice Training Program by mentoring them resulting in self confidence and personal growth. HITS have been serving the community in which we do business for over 18 years while partnering with our parent company All Dolled Up Unisex Beauty Salons, Inc. of 34 years.
