Established in 1982, Canterbury is a full service retreat and conference center in the heart of Central Florida. Our original purpose is a mission and ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida. Today our mission and ministry expands beyond the diocese to welcome business gatherings, civic organizations, schools, non-profits and church groups of many traditions and denominations. We offer all guests, a sanctuary of hospitality for growth and learning, a site of many significant and life-changing moments.

We offer comfortable hotel accommodations and five meeting spaces, that can host anywhere from 10 to 200 guests at a time.

Nestled on 48 beautifully wooded acres with Lake Gem as its centerpiece, while you’re at Canterbury you might enjoy quiet time on our dock, our mile long nature trail, or a restful tour of Lake Gem in one of our canoes, kayaks or paddle-boats.

When you’re planning an event or a conference, the location you choose can make all the difference in creating a great and memorable occasion for the participants. The charm of Canterbury, and what we put into making your event successful makes that difference.
