More fun at FamiliesCount parenting class this afternoon. How many marshmallow’s can you pick up with chopsticks and put in your cup in 1 minute? Our winner had 53!

What does this game have to do with parenting? When we play games together we create places of safety and belonging, togetherness. All the things our kids (and us as parents) want and need.

We are excited for more parents graduating tonight from Families Count! They will have completed their 7 weeks of lessons and one step closer to completing their case plan.

Just 7 weeks, it’s all it took! So proud of these parents for being focused on the class material and engaging each week.

Tonight we celebrate!

Wednesday, February 26th we were able to celebrate 3 more parents that completed the Families Count program and have not just checked off another item on their case plan, but were educated and encouraged on being better parents, understanding the development of their children, the difference between punishment and discipline, and the need for restoration.

We love to see parents and families grow and succeed. It is our goal to encourage parents through this process.

Each week we are reminded we have been Created by a Loving God, for a reason, and with a purpose in life. We are not a mistake. Their children are not a mistake. Their family is not a mistake. We are Created in the image of God, because He loves us.

We look forward to the next set of classes to begin March 26th.
