Every girl needs a little black cat. Not because they match the furniture, although they do. Not because they are effortlessly chic, although obviously. You need one because nothing improves a room quite like a tiny black creature silently judging everyone in it. Come meet ours this weekend at the Oviedo PetSmart, Saturday from 11 to 3 and Sunday from 12 to 3.

Black cats are sleek, dramatic, ridiculously photogenic, and permanently dressed better than the rest of us. They will steal your chair, shed on your clothes, stare into corners like they know something you do not, and somehow still convince you that adopting them was entirely your idea. Skip the little black dress. Get the little black cat.

Wiley needs our help. At 11 years old, he is suffering from stomatitis and cracked molars, leaving his mouth painful and badly inflamed. The best way to give Wiley lasting relief is a full-mouth extraction, removing all of his teeth so his mouth can finally heal. It sounds extreme, but cats can thrive without teeth, and for Wiley, this surgery means the chance to eat and live comfortably without the constant pain he is experiencing now.

This sweet senior boy has already been through more than enough. After his owner passed away, Wiley was left behind in a trailer park, where he was eventually found alone and starving. He made it through that frightening chapter and into the safety of rescue, but now he is facing another hurdle, and this time we can make sure he doesn’t have to face it without help.

We need donations to get Wiley the dental surgery he desperately needs. Whether it’s $5, $10, $25, or more, every donation brings us closer to getting those painful teeth out and giving Wiley the relief he deserves. He has already known hunger, loss, and abandonment. Our cats have been studying magic, and frankly, their progress is concerning. They still can’t conjure their own dinner, clean a litter box, or turn kibble into gold, but they have successfully mastered the ancient spell of making a grown adult say, “Well… I guess we have another cat now.” Some have also shown promising abilities in teleportation, particularly when a carrier appears.

Come meet our collection of tiny sorcerers at Oviedo PetSmart this Saturday from 11–3 and Sunday from 12–3. They’ll be demonstrating advanced techniques in enchantment, mind control, and making you forget whatever number of cats you previously considered “enough.” Please approach with caution. Their magic is strongest when they’re being held.

Teacher’s pets have a reputation for getting a little extra attention, and these cats would be perfectly happy to keep that tradition going. They’re ready to trade adoption cages for couches, homework for playtime, and waiting for a family for finally having one of their own. Every party has that one member who contributes absolutely nothing to the mission but somehow makes the whole thing better. That is basically a cat. They nap through important events, demand snacks at terrible times, and still manage to become the best part of your day. This weekend, there are adoptable cats at Oviedo PetSmart ready to audition for the role.

Come meet them Saturday from 11 to 3 and Sunday from 12 to 3 at Oviedo PetSmart. You might find a lap cat, a window watcher, a professional biscuit maker, or a tiny weirdo who decides you are their person in about thirty seconds. Pretty good reward for leaving the house.
